Each card is one firm's real $50K rule set, exactly as the Sim Lab grades it: profit target, max loss, drawdown and the markets that firm lets you trade. Practice under any of them FREE, and pass to earn that firm's badge.
Three kinds of drawdown
Every exam has a max loss, but how that line moves is what makes one firm's rules harder than another's. Examples use a $50K account with a $2,000 max loss, so you start with a fail line at $48,000.
Static
The fail line never moves. It stays at $48,000 however much you make, so profits become a cushion.
End-of-day trailing
After each day, the line moves up to $2,000 below your best closing balance, and never back down. Losses during the day don't move it; they only count if you hit the line.
Intraday trailing
The line follows your highest balance in real time, open profits included. Give back a winning trade and the line is already closer. The strictest of the three.
In the Sim Lab a trailing line stops rising once it reaches your $50,000 starting balance. New to the words? Every rule explained in Prop 101 →
