Last updated November 5, 2026
ATC Prop School is run by All Things Crypto (ATC). This page explains what we collect when you use the comparison site and the FREE Sim Lab, and why.
What we collect
- Your practice exam, on your device and your account. The Sim Lab saves your current practice exam (balance, orders, fills) in your browser, and to your account when you're signed in, so you can pick it up on any device. Clearing your browser data deletes the browser copy; deleting your account deletes the rest.
- Practice exam results. When you start a practice exam, finish a trading day or finish a practice exam, we record the result: the firm rules you chose, the days traded, your balance, number of fills, win rate, and which firms' rules your trades passed. Each browser gets a random ID so we can group one person's practice exams. If you're signed in, results are also linked to your account so your Student ID can show them; otherwise they aren't linked to your name, email or IP address. The public Honor Roll only ever shows totals and percentages.
- Your trades in a practice exam. When a practice exam ends, we save its trades to your account: every fill (buy or sell, size, price, time in the exam, profit or loss) and every order, stop and target you set, moved or removed. We use this to understand how traders use the Sim Lab and to improve it. It's never shown publicly, and deleting your account deletes it.
- Your account. If you create an account we store your email address, or the name, email and profile picture Google or X shares when you sign in with them, plus your practice exam results linked to it. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider (Supabase) and are never visible to us.
- The Honor Roll. If you're signed in, the Honor Roll shows your X handle (or your first name and last initial if you signed in with Google), how many practice exams you've taken and passed, and which firms' rules you've passed. Email sign-ins show as "Trader" plus a short code. To be left off the board, DM @ATC_Markets.
- Your Student ID card. If you post your Student ID, anyone with that link can see your card: your X handle (or first name and last initial), your profile picture, the month you enrolled, the badges you've earned and your best results. It doesn't show your email or failed exams.
- Your email, only if you give it. If you enter your email on the result screen or the newsletter, we store it with your result so we can send you new firm discount codes and ATC Prop School updates. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
- Firm enquiries. If you use the form on the For Firms page, we store your firm, name, contact details and message, and email them to our team so we can reply.
- Page visits. We count the pages you open, the website that sent you (just its name, like x.com), any campaign tag in the link, and the random browser ID above. We don't store your IP address with this, and we don't use cookies for it.
- Clicks to firms. When you click through to a prop firm we count the click (which firm, from which part of the site) with the same random browser ID. If you use our code or link, the firm may tell us a purchase happened so it can pay our referral commission. We never see your payment details.
- Technical logs. Our hosting and sign-in providers keep short-term logs for security and to keep the site running, including IP addresses. Sign-in logs can include your email address.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data or your email.
- We don't use hidden redirects, forced cookies or tracking you didn't click. A firm's referral cookie is only set when you choose to click through to that firm.
- Paid partnerships are always labelled as partnerships.
Where it's stored
Practice exam results and emails are stored with our database provider (Supabase) in the United States. Anonymous results are kept to power the Honor Roll. Emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
The services we use: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Resend (sending email), and Google or X if you sign in with them. Your browser also loads fonts from Google and code libraries from jsDelivr and unpkg, and those companies can see your IP address when it does.
Your choices
To have your email or results deleted, or to ask what we hold, DM @ATC_Markets on X. If you're in the EU, UK or California you have the rights your local law gives you, including access and deletion.
